Fisher Price Busy Box
This toy is very attractive to young children because of the many colors and buttons there are for the child to look at and interact with. This toy has knobs for the child to turn which will pop up pictures of animals making the toy an exciting adventure for your child. In addition to all of this, the toy also brings a mirror into play which attracts the eyes of children, allowing them to see a distorted rather humorous reflection of themselves. This adventure of a toy is not just something fun for the child but it also helps develop fine and gross motor skills for the child. The fine motor skills put to use are the hands and fingers used to twist specific parts of the toy, push buttons that in turn allow pictures of animals to pop up in excitement, and the mirror in which your child is able to grab and move around, as well as look into. The gross motor skills of your child that will be put to the test is the movement of your child's arm in order to pick up or move the toy. This toy is medium is size, not to large that the child will not be able to pick up but big enough to where both hands of your child will be needed in order to move. Personally I would recommend this toy to any current or potential parent of an infant due to the fun and exciting attributes this toy brings to your child's hands. The Fisher Price Busy Box also challenges the creativity and intellectual boundaries of your infant which is another reason that I would recommend this toy. As a developmental psychologist, I would recommend this toy due to the many interactive buttons that encourage the infant to play and develop motor skills. In addition to the interactive buttons the toy will also help with memory retention of your child, the child will play with the Busy Box and over time remember which button causes what noise and which button makes what animal picture pop up. As a parent/childcare provider, I would also recommend this toy due to the entertainment in which the child gets from the toy, on top of encouraging the child to explore the many possibilities that this toy brings to the table.
Leap Frog Learning Worm
The Learning Worm brings vibrant colors and exciting sounds to the world of learning for your child. This toy is packed full of fun surprises that neither you or your child will be expecting. The learning Worm has multiple different colors and numbers, bringing change and new wonders in the palms of your child's hands. The numbers range from one to five allowing your infant to learn their first few numbers by simply enjoying this toy. Along with the exciting attributes seeing new colors and numbers, this toy brings multiple animal pictures to the table as well. This toy will not only help your child learn numbers but also keep your child interested in the toy with its multiple happy animals. In addition to having numbers, the numbers are made of a soft cloth material with buttons inside of the numbers. Each button has a different noise, which will make for an exciting and enjoyable experience not only for the child but for the parent as well. This toy has many different attributes as we have already explained but on top of that, it also enhances the child's fine motor skills as well as their gross motor skills. The fine motor skills are enhanced due to the many buttons to be pushed and numbers to be squeezed. This helps the child to develop a better understanding of how to grasp objects. The gross motor skills that can be enhanced is the child's potential to crawl or even walk. This toy being very attractive to children can be used as an incentive to motivate the child to get up and crawl or even take their first step. I personally would recommend this enjoyable toy to any parent due to the many learning attributes and motor skills that the Learning Worm has to offer. As a developmental psychologist, this toy would be perfect for any young child. The toy has many colorful buttons and fun noises that enhance the ability to grasp objects, learn words and numbers, as well as potentially bringing a child to their first step. As a parent/childcare provider, this would be an easy decision as to recommend this toy or not. It is simply to exciting and easy for your child to get the hang of to not recommend.
